Solution :

Rethinking the potential use of the Rocket Stove.

Breif:

Identify opportunities for improving the lives of real people, and at the same time reducing carbon emissions through industrial design, and potentially through contributions to larger systems-level innovations. To reverse global warming, it is increasingly clear that as a society we will need to decouple basic human needs from fossil carbon use. This is your challenge to take on through design.

Having Growing up in the mountains I was very familiar what was involved with keeping warm. Preserving body temperature is one of our most basic needs but it requires high energy output. How might we keep a comfortable temperature in the winter while cutting down on carbon emissions. Having attended a Permaculture design program years earlier there was inspiration from a variety of sustainable principles and systems what came from that research was the rocket stove.
